Routine Eye Examinations Are Important
It is just not checking the vision, but full examination that will cover deeper aspects of vision. The purpose is to investigate conditions and symptoms of undetected diseases and refractive errors because vision problems in children are missed out due to lack of regular eye check-ups. Diseases like Glaucoma, Diabetes, hypertension etc cause retinal damage slowly before the patient would even know about it. Viewing digital screens for extended periods makes the eyes work harder and hence cause several eye problems that need to be addressed timely and correctly. Hence, routine analysis is important to reduce the risk of losing vision because underlying diseases can be identified only by an eye care professional or an optometrist.
